Mac OS X SSL Enabler
SSL Enabler is an application that allows you to use Stunnel on a Mac OS X machine. With SSL Enabler, you can use programs that are not capable of making secure connections to AT&T Worldnet.
To install and configure SSL Enabler:
- Download the software from Apple.
- Mount the disk image and copy SSL Enabler to your Applications folder. To proceed, you must have Administrator access to your computer.
- Launch SSL Enabler.
- Click the Add button.
- In the first row:
- In the Local Port field, enter 110
- In the Remote Server IP field, enter ipostoffice.worldnet.att.net
- In the Remote Port field, enter 995
- Click the Add button.
- In the second row:
- In the Local Port field, enter 25
- In the Remote Server IP field, enter imailhost.worldnet.att.net
- In the Remote Port field, enter 465
- Click the Add button.
- In the third row:
- In the Local Port field, enter 119
- In the Remote Server IP field, enter inetnews.worldnet.att.net
- In the Remote Port field, enter 563
- Click the Save button.
Note: To configure a mail client program to use SSL Enabler, you would change the incoming and outgoing mail servers to 127.0.0.1 The same would apply for a news client program. Your user name and password information should be entered as usual.
